Drivers get an all-electric range of 28 miles from the Corsair Grand Touring trim, then the vehicle resorts to a hybrid ride after depleting the battery.

When under electric power, this trim delivers an EPA-estimated 78 MPG-e and 33 combined MPG when under gas-hybrid power. With a Level 2 charger, the Corsair battery charges in about three hours.

The 2022 Aviator Grand Touring PHEV

The other fuel-efficient Lincoln is the 2022 Aviator with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The midsize luxury SUV is loaded with cargo space, a comfortably modern interior, and an intuitive infotainment system. Lincoln offers the Aviator with rear-wheel and all-wheel drive.

The standard engine is a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 and a 10-speed automatic transmission with 400 horsepower. Like the Corsair, the Aviator Grand Touring trim comes with the same V6 but with an electric motor and a 13.6 kWh lithium-ion battery to deliver 494 horsepower. The battery provides up to 21 miles of all-electric range.

The EPA-estimated fuel rating when relying on the electric motor is 56 MPG-e, while the hybrid mode earns a combined rating of 23 MPG. The Aviator needs about three hours to charge the battery with a Level 2 charger.
