What is Lincoln ActiveGlide Technology?
ActiveGlide Technology is the top driver-assistive feature available on models equipped with the Lincoln Co-Pilot360 2.0 Package which is standard on the Navigator Reserve and Black Label trims.
The ActiveGlide technology uses Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering. It also uses Speed Sign Recognition and a driver-facing camera for hands-free driving on over 130,000 miles of road around the United States. When your Lincoln is in a designated hands-free zone, the digital instrument cluster turns blue.
For 2022, the Lincoln Black Label vehicles include Navigator, Aviator, and Nautilus. The 2022 Lincoln Black Label trim comes with the Co-Pilot 360 2.0 features that include Rearview Camera, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, Automatic LED High Beams with Adaptive Pivoting, Forward Collision Warning, Pedestrian Detection, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, a Surround View Parking System, and Road-Scanning Adaptive Suspension.
Driver-Assistive and Hands-Free Technology
The semi-autonomous driving feature will be in most 2022 Navigator models. It will be available in the Reserve and Black Label Aviators and Nautilus trims. To access ActiveGlide, drivers need to turn on the Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go on the steering wheel. This feature illuminates a blue icon of hands on a steering wheel.
ActiveGlide activates when the Lincoln is in a Hands-Free Blue Zone. As soon as your Lincoln recognizes the road, the cruise control activates ActiveGlide. The driver doesn’t need to do anything as the cruise control icon takes the hands off of the steering wheel icon. When the icon changes, you can take your hands off the steering wheel while keeping your eyes on the road.
ActiveGuide uses sensors, cameras, and road markings to keep the vehicle between the lines. The technology turns the Lincoln at appropriate speeds, and it brings the SUV to a stop and gets it moving again when traffic restarts.
